UK expands 0.5% in fourth quarter and you can sense BBC News's gritted teeth

This BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/business-35427222 gives one the impression that the BBC news team are unhappy reporting some more good economic news.

This passage especially has more than a whiff of being written through gritted teeth:

'The annual pace of growth maybe the slowest for three years but still puts the UK economy among the fastest growing among the developed nations.'
Poor BBC, reporting the truth hurts.

Forget the facts, the BBC have an agenda to push

This BBC article http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35393423 about the illegal boarding of a sea vessel by 'men' contains this sentence:
'The situation in Calais comes amid an influx of migrants to Europe - caused largely by people fleeing war and oppression in countries such as Syria, Afghanistan and Eritrea.'
Forget the figures showing more of these migrants are coming from North Africa, the BBC have an agenda to push.

Because Jews don't count for BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-35309195 describes Indonesia as 'largely secular'. But it's no multi religion paradise if you're not a Muslim. Ask the residents of the predominately Hindu island of Bali or the remnants of the small Jewish community of Indonesia. The latter task could be tricky because in September 2013 it was revealed that the last synagogue in Indonesia had been destroyed. 'Unidentified persons' demolished the Beith Shalom synagogue in Surabaya on the island of Java to its foundations sometime earlier this year, according to a report on Indoweb.nl.The synagogue has seen a number of anti-Israel protests staged in front of it and was sealed by Islamic hard-liners in 2009, according to the Jakarta Globe. Oddly I don't recall the BBC reporting this piece of news about Indonesia becoming all but Judenfrei, but then in the Islamic world that's not really news.

Cologne attackers were of migrant origin - minister per BBC News through gritted teeth

The BBC report through very gritted teeth that:
'The men suspected of attacking women in Cologne on New Year's Eve were "almost exclusively" from a migration background, mainly North African and Arab, an official report says.'

But the BBC being the BBC, they have to try and lay the blame elsewhere:
'Cologne police also made "serious mistakes" in not calling reinforcements and the way they informed the public.

More than 500 criminal complaints were filed, 40% alleging sexual assault.'
And the BBC's main worry is the possibility of retaliatory attacks:
'Apparent retaliatory attacks in Cologne on Sunday were condemned by the government as inexcusable.'

Suffragette City - David Bowie

Wham bam thank you David...

David Bowie R. I. P

It was David Bowie's 69th birthday on Friday and I almost posted a track of his to celebrate. But which one? There were too many great songs. So rather than choose one or two from dozens, I didn't post anything.

Today I wake to the need that one of, if not the, greatest pop and rock artistes of my lifetime has passed away, another victim of cancer. What a loss...

Here's Heroes... Because he was one to millions.

Germany confirms most mob attack suspects were asylum seekers

Yahoo News are reporting that which the BBC won't.
'Germany said Friday most suspects in the mob violence that marred Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations were asylum seekers, fuelling calls to quickly deport criminal migrants.
...
A week after the chaotic scenes outside Cologne railway station, federal police said they had identified 31 suspects whose alleged offences were "mostly theft and causing bodily harm".

Eighteen of them are asylum seekers, the interior ministry said.

Among the suspects are nine Algerians, eight Moroccans, five Iranians, four Syrians, two Germans and one citizen each from Iraq, Serbia and the United States, ministry spokesman Tobias Plate said.'

Inconvenient facts that the pro unlimited immigration BBC would rather you didn't know...

Birmingham teen lied about being punched in the face because she wore a hijab per Daily Mail Online

This news is something that the pro Islamic immigration BBC won't be reporting. For the BBC an Islamophobic backlash is the biggest concern whenever some Islamists carry out another outrage. So this story of a Muslim making up an Islamophobic attack must be kept secret.

Sex attackers risk deportation says Merkel per BBC News who continue to try to persuade that migrants might not have been to blame for the New Year's Eve attacks in Cologne, Stuttgart, Switzerland and elsewhere

This BBC news article is desperate stuff. It tries to persuade us that it might not be migrants from the Middle East and North Africa that were to blame for the sexual assaults and other misdemeanours that occurred on New Year's Eve in Cologne and other cities in Europe.

'On the square outside were several thousand men, most of a migrant background, who were firing all kinds of fireworks and throwing bottles into the crowd at random.'

'German media, also quoting internal police reports, say that significant numbers of Syrian, Afghan and Iraqi migrants were in the crowd – although it is unclear if any were involved in the attacks.'

'But Cologne's mayor said there was no reason to believe those behind the attacks were refugees.'

The mayor and the BBC might actually be correct here, but only insofar as these migrants ceased to be refugees when they left the first safe country they reached having previously left their dangerous country of origin. Once they left Turkey, Greece, Italy etc and moved north for the money, benefits and housing they stopped being refugees and became migrants.

The above assumes that these people ever were refugees, something that is by no means certain and is indeed unlikely to apply to all of them.

Google, Facebook and Twitter Yield to Government Demand to Censor 'Hate Speech'

Breitbart repoets the anti free speech news that:
'In a deal reached last December, major social media sites said they would work to delete any German anti-migrant sentiments distributed on their networks within 24 hours after a removal request has been made.'
A German government being against free speech, who'd have thought it?

As John F. Kennedy said:
'Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.'
The trouble is that our overlords in the EU aren't interested in free speech, EUrabia is our decided future.

Oxford marks Hebdo attack with Voltaire per BBC News

Of course this BBC piece approving of free speech, and the Oxford University campaign for it, manages not to mention the Oxford students campaign to rid Oriel College of the statue of Cecil Rhodes. Nor of the campaign to ban Donald Trump from the UK that they have been happily promoting.

The BBC are very capable of simultaneously holding two completely contradictory thoughts, George Orwell would be so unamazed.

English GP surgeries reach new patient 'breaking point' per BBC News

You can read the whole of this BBC article and be none the wiser as to why 'patient demand' has risen.

Not a mention of immigration being a major factor in increasing patient demand for NHS GP services because for the BBC facts are sometimes just too inconvenient to mention.

Sometimes political balance is important to the BBC

There's a fascinating article in The Times today, page 5 of the print edition.

Apparently Barry Humphries wanted to tell a joke about Jeremy Corbyn when he was to appear on Michael MacIntyre's Christmas show. He was told that for balance he'd 'also have to say something about Mr Cameron.'

Oddly this political balance doesn't seem to apply to the majority of BBC topical news quizzes and panel shows where lampooning Conservatives is de rigeur, Labour less so. And as for UKIP and Donald Trump, well the BBC don't even pretend to be impartial there.

Germany shocked by Cologne New Year gang assaults on women per BBC News

The BBC have finally http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-35231046 got around to reporting the Cologne attacks. I found this part of their report interesting:

'A policeman who was outside Cologne station during the New Year's Eve trouble told the city's Express news website that he had detained eight suspects. "They were all asylum seekers, carrying copies of their residence certificates," he said.

However, there was no official confirmation that asylum seekers had been involved in the violence. Commentators in Germany were quick to urge people not to jump to conclusions.'
Are there no lengths the BBC won't go to to protect Muslim immigrants from censure?

Freedom of Information is very important to the BBC

This BBC article bemoans the way that the government doesn't comply with Freedom of Information requests, it's an interesting article and worth a read. However I'd take , BBC

The Balen Report is a 20,000 word document written by the senior broadcasting journalist Malcolm Balen in 2004 after examining thousands of hours of the BBC's coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The report was commissioned by former BBC Director of News, Richard Sambrook, following persistent complaints from the public and the Israeli government of allegations of anti-Israel bias.

It is a legal obligation for the Corporation to be impartial which is why this Report is so important. Well-known examples of purported bias are: BBC's correspondent in Jerusalem 2004, Barbara Plett who broadcast Yasser Arafat's exit to hospital "When the helicopter carrying the frail old man rose above his ruined compound I started to cry ...".
Eventually one year later Helen Boaden, Head of BBC News admitted this was "an editorial misjudgment". There have been similar issues since the report. In 2006 Middle-East correspondent Orla Guerin claimed the Town of Bint Jbeil had been 'wiped out' by the Israelis and showed footage to support this. It had not in fact been wiped out and Channel 4's Alex Thomson, the same day, reported ( from the same street) that the town was "pretty much untouched by the Israeli attack". In fact when the two new's reports were compared it became clear Guerin had completely misled the public. in 2005 The Israeli government accused Ms Guerin of being 'anti-Semitic' in her reporting of a would-be suicide bomber.'
It is estimated that the BBC has spent over £200,000 of licence payers money on keeping the Balen Report secret.

Just how damning must the Balen Report have been for the BBC to be so desperate to keep it under wraps?

Guido Fawkes is farcicle/farcical!

Were these remarks by Chris Gayle in an interview really apology worthy?

Watch the video here and tell me what you think. Should Chris Gayle have apologised? Should Australia's Channel 10 have apologised?

Why do the BBC consider this mild story worthy of coverage but not the mass sexual assaults at Cologne station

German police hunt for group of up to 1,000 men over sex attacks

'German police are hunting for a group of up to a 1,000 men 'of Arab and North African origin' who are accused of sexually assaulting numerous women and causing trouble at Cologne's main station.

Police described the series of sexual assaults against women in Cologne on New Year's Eve as 'a completely new dimension of crime.'

Officers received numerous complaints from women who said they had been assaulted around Cologne's main train station next to the western German city's famous cathedral on the night from Thursday to Friday.

The group of men reportedly also robbed their victims and threw fireworks at a crowd of people, according to Breitbart.

Cologne police chief Wolfgang Albers said witnesses described the assaults as coming from a group of up to 1,000 men whose appearance indicated they were of 'Arab or North African origin.'

Oddly I can find no mention of this news on the BBC. Why might that be? If a woman is sexually assaulted in India then the pro Islamic Pakistan BBC readies the headlines but not when it's sexual assaults by Muslim men in Europe. The BBC once again disgusts me.

Tel Aviv shooting: Two dead, Israeli police say per BBC News

'As of 23 December, at least 21 Israelis had been killed in the recent violence, most of them in stabbings and shooting attacks by Palestinians.

At least 131 Palestinians have also been killed. More than half were said by Israel to be attackers. Others have been killed in clashes with Israeli forces.'
My contempt for the BBC is beyond measure. They are institutionally anti Israel and have got worse since the Balen Report that they were so desperate to keep secret.

I don't think vile scum is too strong a word for the BBC.
