Nuclear power in the UK (part 2)

Further to my earlier post on family links between this Labour government and the nuclear industry, in the back of my mind I knew that there was another link and I have found it. One of Gordon Brown's closest advisers is Ed Balls, the current Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, who is married to Yvette Cooper, the current Minister of State for Housing and Planning. So far, so what? Well Yvette Cooper's father is Tony Cooper described by Wikipedia as the "former General Secretary of the Union Prospect, a member of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and a former Chairman of the British Nuclear Industry Forum." According to Nuclear Spin "He was also Chairman of the Trade Unions for Safe Nuclear Energy... He is also a member of the Department of Trade and Industry's Energy Advisory Panel, a ministerial appointment for which he receives remuneration of £1,000 a year." This might or might not be out of date as Nuclear Spin is not the most up to date of reference sites.

So there we go Gordon Brown's brother works in the nuclear power industry as does one of his closest adviser's father-in-law. Nothing like keeping it in the family is there - do you think the BBC will cover these links?
